Our Story
Motion Studio Asia was founded in Singapore in 2021 by Ricardo, who was inspired to create a unique art jamming experience that would be accessible to everyone, even those who didn’t consider themselves artists. Despite not being skilled at drawing himself, Ricardo believed that art should be easy and enjoyable for all, and set out to create a space where anyone could come and explore their creativity.
It was during his research that Ricardo discovered Canadian artist Callen Schaub and his stunning pendulum swing pieces. Inspired by Schaub’s innovative approach, Ricardo saw an opportunity to bring this concept to Singapore and create a completely new and exciting way of making art.
After months of hard work and experimentation, Ricardo successfully became the first person in the world to commercialize pendulum and swing art in Singapore, and Motion Studio Asia was born. The response from the public was overwhelming, and the studio quickly became a popular destination for people of all ages and backgrounds.
As the studio grew in popularity, Ricardo realized that he needed a partner who shared his vision and could help bring the concept to other parts of Southeast Asia. That’s when he met Anthony Lesmana, who shared his passion for making art accessible and fun for everyone. Together, they decided to bring the Motion Studio Asia experience to Indonesia, starting with a studio located in Golf Island PIK, Jakarta.
Their goal is to create a community of fun-loving artists who come together to create and explore their creativity, and to help people realize that art is a form of release and expression that can be enjoyed by anyone. With their innovative approach to art jamming, Ricardo and Anthony hope to inspire others to embrace their creativity and discover the joy of making art.
